Rose's work is deeply rooted in the natural world, combining nature and abstraction. Using mediums of paint, digital, performance and sculpture. The work tends to be more intuitive, often beginning with a simple sketch or idea. “I am inspired by the colors and forms seen in nature and work to push those forms into abstraction. I access my work through a mix of automatic drawing and painting. As I work, new problems are created, and I work to solve them. This way of working pushes me to discover new possibilities. Experimentation is a key part of my practice and allows me to explore a variety of mediums.”
