HOW IT WORKS

1 CONCEPT & BUDGET

Determining a preliminary budget for your art program is the first step in our consultation journey. This budget will serve as a template to aid in our conceptual vision for your home, hotel or office. We then work closely with your project designer or team to establish a general art direction that aligns with the overall interior concept. Finally, an Art Concept Book including a collection of the style and type of art recommended for each area will be developed to illustrate our program’s intent.

2 PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT

We will work closely with a diverse number of sources to gather together a range of work exploring the full gamut of artistic methods and mediums, including drawings and paintings, art glass, ceramics, photography, textile and fiber art, sculpture and wood. Quantities, sizes and the destination for each work will be refined along with a detailed line-item art budget in our Final Art Program Book submitted for client approval. Concurrently, we will assist in coordinating the selection and acquisition of art and accessories for each Mock-Up Room. Once selections are approved, we facilitate any works that will be reproduced in multiples for rooms and public spaces.

3 PROCUREMENT

Once the Final Art Program Book is approved, the purchasing process begins. We initiate commissions and proceeds with the purchase of existing art and accessories. During this stage we work tightly with the design team to coordinate the works so that they seamlessly integrate into the design. The process of commissioned artwork and custom artifact fabrication will be carefully monitored, with specialty framing and customized presentation styles chosen to both accentuate the artwork and complement each interior space.

4 INSTALLATION

The final—and possibly most integral—step, installation assures each piece is correctly placed throughout the space. Our art consultants locate and spot the artwork for the installation crew, manage mounting and hanging, and ensure every work is installed securely. Finally, each client will receive an Art Acquisitions Book including a written description and image for each work in the collection to use as a reference guide.
